Specializations

I specialize in evidence-based hypnotherapy, helping you overcome stress, anxiety, and burnout. Through safe and targeted exercises, you learn to regulate your nervous system, release tension, and strengthen your connection to your own inner resources. Hypnotherapy allows deep, lasting change by transforming entrenched patterns – fostering greater calm, confidence, and emotional stability in daily life.

In addition, I offer Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) – a structured program developed at the University of Massachusetts to prevent and reduce stress. Mindfulness training helps you notice thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations without judgment, giving you tools to meet challenges with calm, acceptance, and clarity. Over time, this practice supports better sleep, lower stress levels, and greater emotional balance.

As an integral part of both hypnotherapy and mindfulness, I incorporate breathing exercises as an effective tool for regulating the body’s stress response. The breath offers a direct pathway to the nervous system, and with simple techniques, you can learn to restore calm within minutes.

Together, hypnotherapy, mindfulness, and breathwork form a holistic approach that helps you build resilience, reduce stress, and live with greater presence, balance, and ease – mentally, emotionally, and physically.

Research

1. Hypnosis Alters How the Brain Regulates Emotion

An fMRI study of 57 participants published in Cerebral Cortex found that hypnosis changes activity in brain regions involved in focus, self-awareness, and emotional regulation. The research showed measurable shifts in functional connectivity within networks that help the brain manage attention and emotion.
(Cerebral Cortex, 2017, Jiang et al.)

2. Hypnosis Significantly Reduces Anxiety

A meta-analysis of 17 randomized controlled trials concluded that hypnosis, when combined with psychotherapy, produces substantially greater reductions in anxiety than therapy alone. The benefits were not only immediate but also maintained over time, showing that hypnosis can effectively calm both mind and body.
(International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis, 2019, Valentine et al.)

3. Hypnosis Relieves Pain and Lowers the Need for Medication

Comprehensive reviews of clinical trials demonstrate that hypnosis can reduce both acute and chronic pain. In surgical and medical settings, patients receiving hypnosis often required less pain medication and reported lower levels of discomfort compared with control groups.
(Pain Reports, 2024; Journal of Clinical Medicine, 2024; PLoS ONE, 2023)

4. Hypnosis Strengthens the Brain’s Emotional Regulation Networks

Neuroimaging research has shown that hypnosis enhances communication between areas of the brain responsible for emotional balance, attention, and self-regulation. These findings suggest that hypnosis supports long-term adaptations in the brain that promote calm focus and emotional stability.
(Cerebral Cortex, 2016; Frontiers in Human Neuroscience, 2022)

5. Hypnotherapy Promotes Resilience and Psychological Balance

Systematic reviews and controlled studies indicate that hypnotherapy—especially when combined with mindfulness and breathwork—improves sleep quality, emotional stability, and overall wellbeing. Together, these methods reinforce inner balance and enhance resilience under stress.
(Frontiers in Psychology, 2023; Journal of Psychosomatic Research, 2022; Mindfulness, 2021)

6. Hypnosis Enhances Mindfulness and Reduces Stress

A randomized controlled study of adults with high stress levels found that eight weeks of hypnotherapy and guided self-hypnosis led to significant increases in mindfulness and reductions in stress compared with a control group.
(International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis, 2020, Alladin et al.)
